Wilburn Strayhorn
September 21, 1922 — December 22, 2017
Wilburn “Slim” Strayhorn, 95, of Searcy, Arkansas went to heaven, December 22, 2017, to be with Evelyn (2013), his wife of 66 years. They were married Valentine’s Day 1946.
Wilburn loved the outdoors, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He was a World War II veteran and received several medals including a Purple Heart. He retired from AP&L in Searcy.
Wilburn is survived by his sister; Geneva Haley of Judsonia, brother-in-law; Buddy Phillips (Jane) of Searcy, sister-in-law; Dorothy Phillips of Searcy, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A special thanks goes to his caregivers (he loved you) and to his Veterans Administration Health Care team. We couldn’t have done it without you. He will be missed.
