W.H. "Junior" Scarsdale

September 5, 1925 — January 31, 2018

W.H. Scarsdale “Junior”, 92, of Searcy passed away Wednesday, January 31st at Searcy Health and Rehab. He was born September 5, 1925 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to the late Walter and Pauline (Foster) Scarsdale.

Junior was a retired Searcy Fireman. He was a WWII Veteran having served his country honorably in the Battle of the Bulge. Over the years, Junior had many accomplishments many of which can be found at the White County Historical Society. He loved collecting coins. His favorite pass time was dining at Bobby’s Diner down on the court square where he’d meet up with several of his dear friends.

Junior is survived by one sister, Doris Merritt of Louisiana; special friends, Margaret Scudder (Sid) and Tom Sapp all of Searcy; and numerous other friends and relatives.

In addition to his parents, Junior was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe Neal Scarsdale and Robert Scarsdale.

Visitation will be Monday, February 5th from 12:00-2:00pm at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Monday, February 5th at 2:00pm in the Searcy McEuen Chapel with burial following at Oak Grove Cemetery.
