Wesley Carvilla Benton
June 23, 1930 — February 5, 2009
Wesley Carvilla Benton, 78, of Searcy went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 5 , 2009. He was born in 1930 in Gravel Hill, Arkansas to Charlie and Melva Benton.
He was preceded in death by both parents, a loving wife of almost sixty years, Mammie Nell (Cato) Benton, and a son, Donald Lynn Benton.
He is survived by three children; a daughter, Shelia (Terry) Mitchell of Searcy, a son, Tony (Paula) Benton of Judsonia, a son, Marty Benton of Searcy, a brother, Randall Benton of Searcy, a sister, Velda Ree Cook of Searcy and a sister, Wanda La Force of Searcy. He was blessed with 5 grandchildren; Casey (Katrina) Love of Kansas, Lindsey Goodwin of Pennsylvania, Tara (Eric) Wallace of Searcy, Wesley Benton of Judsonia and Monica Mitchell of Searcy. He was also blessed with three great-grandchildren; Creek, Brooke and Lakelyn Love of Kansas.
He enjoyed the outdoors, was an avid gardener, but his true love was always horses.
A Graveside service will be held Sunday, February 8, 2009 , 2:00 PM at White County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 7, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home.
