Wanda Lee Nichols

Wanda Lee Nichols, 85, of Kensett passed away Friday, November 15, 2013 at her home. She was born November 24, 1927 in Mt. Vernon to the late Odis Reedy and Bessie Johnston Reedy.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kensett for 55 years and was a nursery worker for 20 plus years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her three daughters, Gayla Smith (Carlon) of McRae, Darlene Piker (Dewight) of Searcy, and Trisha Moreland of Searcy; seven grandchildren, Courtney Due (Ryan), Jennefer Layrock (Danny), Latisha Davis, Tara Scott (Tyler), Ashley Piker, Matthew Davis and Joshua Moreland; and three great grandchildren, Maddalyn Layrock, Carson Due, and London Scott.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Nichols, her parents, Odis and Bessie Reedy, and one brother, J.D. Reedy; and special Aunts Irene Henry, Lena Hodges and Stella Leach.

Visiting hours are 3-5 p.m. Sunday, November 17th at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Kensett First Baptist Church with burial following at Evergreen Cemetery.
