Walter (Lynn) Leonard Spencer, 61, of Pangburn, Arkansas passed away May 29, 2026 after a long battle with various health issues. He was born in Wynne, Arkansas June 9, 1964 to Walter Spencer and the late Linda White.
Walter was a devoted father and friend to all who intimately knew him. He had one of the most generous souls you could ever meet and would go above and beyond to help anyone who needed anything he could provide, even if it meant that he had to go without.
Walter spent much of his life serving our country, spending 23 years in the service doing what he loved to do. Which was caring for people on their worst days as a Medic. He was proud of what he learned, accomplished, and provided during his time enlisted. After retiring, he spent all of his free time as “One Old Man Band” traveling around to places all over to indulge in his lifelong passion of music. He would load up all of his band equipment and play music and spread the Gospel to those who needed it the way he believed God called him to do. He believed that his lyrics and his guitar could reach those who may have been guarded from the Lord to plant the seed so God could water it to grow in their own faith with the Lord.
Walter will be remembered for his constant support for his boys, unwavering faith, generous heart, and the countless lives he impacted over his 61 years.
Although he did not make it to 94 like he always told us he would, he is without a doubt in my mind with I AM THAT I AM and is looking down on us now. He was adamant that he did not want sorrow when he passed but rather a party. A party overflowing with smiling, laughing, sharing precious memories of him and his impact on people around him. Full of joy and happiness that he is no longer bound to this world and is now where he is meant to be. His positivity will no doubt forever leave a mark on his family and friends.
Left to Cherish his memory is his father, Walter Spencer of McRae, Ar ; three sons Chris and Eathan Spencer of Pangburn, and Nathan Spencer of Monticello, Ar; two siblings Dan Spencer of Hickory Flat, Ar, and Anna (Joey) Brock of Heber Springs, Ar. along with many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Walter was preceded in death by his mother Linda White, and stepmother Louise “LouLou” Spencer.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Searcy McEuen Funeral Home in Searcy. Visitation is June 8th, 2026, at 10:00 AM and the funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM held at Searcy McEuen. He will be laid to rest at Pickens Chapel Cemetery.
