Virgie Lee Parrott, 80, of Clay went to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 24, 2014. She was born August 7, 1933 to the late Jeffie and Monnie Elms Davis in Heber Springs, Arkansas.
Virgie devoted her whole life to taking care of her husband, children, grandchildren, the elderly and anyone in need. She was loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Emmett Parrott Sr. and one sister, Mary Womble.
She is survived by two sons, James Parrott Jr. of Heber Springs, Arkansas and Jarrott Parrott of Clay, Arkansas; two daughters, Brenda Shirley of Clay, Arkansas, and Barbara Ramsey of Clay, Arkansas; three sisters, Debbie Bridgeman of Macks, Arkansas, Betty Calhoun of Searcy, Arkansas, and Sharon Hudson of Letona, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 27, 2014 at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Glad Tidings Missionary Baptist Church with interment following at Howell Cemetery in Pangburn.
