Verdon "Don" Linn Swafford

On Tuesday, August 18, 2020 Verdon (Don) Linn Swafford, of Russellville, Arkansas went to be with his Lord and Savior, at the age of 69. Don was born on August 26, 1950 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Z.W. and Leatha Swafford. 

Don was most importantly a follower of Christ. He used this love to create and build relationships with those around him, always desiring to bring others to know Christ as their own personal Lord and Savior. Don was a handy man in the truest sense of the word, using his engineering mindset to create, build, and fix just about anything. 

Don was preceded in death by his mother, Leatha, and father, Z.W., and his sister, Leota. He is survived by his wife, Judy Swafford; his children; Andrea Sentell and her husband Ryan, Chris Swafford and his wife Amy, Amy Thompson and her husband Corey, Charlotte Williams and her husband Mark, Judy’s children, Sam, Tammy and her husband Ryan, and Tim and his wife Jen, along with 10 grandchildren for Don and 11 grandchildren of Judy, his brothers Quentin and Alan and their spouses, along with many nieces and nephews, as well as the mother of his children Dorothea New.

Public graveside service will be Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 3:00 pm at White County Memorial Gardens in Searcy, Arkansas.
