Truman Eugene Skinner

Truman E. Skinner, 87, of Searcy passed away Friday, November 8th at The Crossing at Riverside. He was born in Judsonia, Arkansas on October 20, 1932 to the late Clovis and Etta Mae Skinner.

Truman was a United States Navy Veteran having served in the Korean War on the U.S. Princeton. He was a lifelong member of Trinity Baptist Church. He was also a member at the Masonic Lodge. Truman retired from the Searcy Water Utilities Company after working there for 30 plus years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. However, his greatest pride and joy was his family. He cherished his girls and was very proud of them. He was a faithful, loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend who will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 67 years, Beverly Skinner; three daughters, Kathy Edwards (Joe) of Little Rock, Arkansas, Melody Scott (Keith) of Russellville, Arkansas, and Nancy Rouse (Alvin) of Searcy, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Matt Edwards (Grace), Brett Edwards (Julian Williams), Megan Selman (Chad), and Spencer Scott; four great grandchildren, Luke, Corinne, Dylan Edwards, and Kate Dacus; two brothers, Larry Skinner (Juanita) of Judsonia, and Jim Skinner;  and two sisters, Joyce McCarty (Junior) of Heber Springs, Arkansas and Vicky Skinner.

Visitation will be from 3:00-4:00 PM Wednesday, November 13th at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 4:00 PM in the Searcy McEuen Chapel.

Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Judsonia.
