Tressie Dean English

Tressie Dean English, 83, of Searcy passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014. She was born March 30, 1931 in Greenbrier, Arkansas to the late Joseph and Vada Marie Kurck.

She loved to going to church. She enjoyed raising a garden and traveling. She really loved to laugh. She loved her family and her time with them she treasured. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother who will be dearly missed.

She is survived by one son, Freddie English (Nellie) of Searcy; five daughters, Sandra Sue Barnes (Bob) of Rose Bud, Ima Gene Sutton of Searcy, Kay Drain (Butch) of Searcy, Mary Beth Little (Gary) of Russell, and Kathy Dovers (Dennis) of Searcy; one sister, Marie English of Searcy; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bufard English; one son, Joseph English; six brothers, Henry, Albert, Clinton, Clifton, Horace, and J.V. Kurck; three sisters, Lunie Brockway, Odell Wood, and Mary Margaret Kurck; and two grandsons, Danny Ray, and Cole Yates.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with interment following at Sidon Cemetery.
