Traverse "Travis" Cook

Traverse “Travis” Cook, 85, of Searcy passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Unity Health.  He was born on September 7, 1931 in Gainesville, Missouri to the late Francis and Capitola (Tabor) Cook.

Travis is survived by two sons; Terry Cook of Searcy and Anthony Cook (Tammy) of Judsonia, one daughter; Renee Tebbetts (Bryan) of Sherwood, two sisters; Nancy Hurst of Waldron and Rosetta Luttrell of Kensett. Six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Travis was an avid outdoorsman.  He enjoyed spending his time hunting, fishing, and camping.  Travis enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  Travis worked for over 25 years at Searcy Flooring where he retired in 1992.  He will be missed dearly.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by Three brothers; Benjamin Cook, Johnny Hale, and Eugene Hale, Three sisters; Ruby Cook, Alice Hale, and Mary Lunsford.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 30th from 5 to 7pm at Searcy McEuen chapel.

A graveside service will be Wednesday, May 31st at 11 am at Kensett Cemetery.

All services have been entrusted to Searcy McEuen Funeral Home.
