Thurley M. Smithey

Thurley Smithey, 73, of Searcy died December 8th at her home.  She was born May 8, 1944, to the late Vonceil and Cleda Jones.

She is survived by her husband; Buddy Smithey, two sons; Mark Smithey (Anita) and Carl Wayne Smithey, two brothers; Rodney Jones and Rickey Jones, two sisters; Shirley Clay and Johnnie Langston, two grandsons; Mitchell Smithey (Mary) and Dylan Smithey, two step-grandsons; Dustin DeVore and Cody DeVore, two great-grandchildren; Megan Conway (Terry) and Braxton DeVore, two great-great-grandchildren; Hayden Conway and Karson Conway.

She was known as a hard worker and a loving mother.  She raised a lot of the neighbor kids and she loved fishing.  She will be greatly missed by a host of family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one grandson; Dakota Smithey, one brother; Johnny Jones.

A memorial service will be held Friday, December 15, 2017, at 6:00 pm at Searcy McEuen.
