Thelmer Lee Townsend

T. L. Townsend, 90, of Searcy, died October 22, 2011. He was born April 4, 1921 in Romance, Arkansas to the late Earl and Nancy Healy Townsend.
Mr. Townsend was the fifth of thirteen children born. Music was a passion of his, and was a dedicated fiddle player. He enjoyed the outdoors, and gardening.
He leaves two sons, Gary Townsend and wife Marilyn, Danny Townsend and wife Debbie both of Rose Bud; one daughter, Diane Apple and husband Larry of Batesville; one brother, Duel Townsend of Searcy; one sister, Louveena Beaman of Searcy; five grandchildren, Chad, Thad, Dustin, Brad, and Brandon, as well as five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services took place 3 p.m. Monday at the Kingdom Hall in Searcy; and burial followed in Rose Bud Cemetery.
