Terry Lynn Cook

Terry Lynn Cook, 67, of Searcy, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. He was born on December 24, 1957, in Searcy, Arkansas, to Martha Sue (Harbin) Kyzer and the late Traverse Cook.

Terry spent his career as an over-the-road truck driver, a job that suited his love of the open road and independent spirit.

He was a proud member of the Searcy Elks Lodge #2247, where he enjoyed spending time with friends, playing pool, and watching NASCAR—two of his favorite pastimes.

He is survived by his mother, Sue Kyzer; brother, Anthony Cook and wife, Tammy; sister, Renee Tabbetts; son, Shawn Cook; daughter, Racheal Capps and husband, Scotty; grandchildren, Michael Cook (Kendra), Kali Cook, Jacob Cook (Shaina), Kara Clark (Dylan), Shawn Cook, Jr., Colton Cook, and Travis Cook; great-grandchildren, Korbyn, Adalynn, Waylynn, Jameson, Tanner, Charlie, and Bellamy; dear friends, Norma Clark and Gerald Langford; as well as a host of extended family and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his father and brother-in-law, Bryan Tabbetts.

The family will receive friends Friday, September 19, 2025 from 6-8 p.m. at the Searcy McEuen Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 27, at the Kensett Cemetery.
