Steven Alan King, 55 of Searcy, Arkansas was called home on Saturday November 19, 2016. He was born November 10, 1961 in Little Rock, Arkansas to William Franklin King and Linda (Mebane) King.
In school Steve excelled in athletics. He enjoyed baseball and football. Steve loved animals. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was always pulling pranks and telling jokes. He loved to tell stories...even if they weren't true. Steve treasured his family. He was so proud of his loved ones. He loved to help people and loved making them laugh.
Steve was a proud, hard working man. He was strong willed. He was a leader and he was blunt. Steve was a loving, and caring individual. Steve was mischievous, funny, and smart and, he was talented. Steve was a Master Plumber and in 1982 he opened Searcy Plumbing and Repair. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Shelby (Burleson) King of Searcy; Three sons Joshua and Brandi King, Heath King both of Searcy, Darrell Gardner and Katabbatha of Judsonia. One daughter, Kim "Snapper" Evans and husband, Isaac of Searcy; two brothers, Scott King of Maumelle and Kevin King of Little Rock; seven grandchildren, Kaiden King, Sophie Evans, Austin Gardner, Jacob Gardner, Gavin Gardner, Summer Gardner, and Adyson Gardner.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 26th from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home chapel. Funeral service will be Saturday, November 26th at 2:00 p.m. at Searcy-McEuen Chapel. Burial will follow at Foster's Chapel Cemetery.
All Funeral services have been entrusted to Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
