Sheila Kay Farley

August 14, 1960 — April 12, 2013

Sheila Kay (Mason) Farley, also known as Queen Sparkles Like a Diamond, age 52, went to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, April 12, 2013. She was born August 14, 1960 in Newport, Arkansas to Doris and Marvin Mason. Sheila grew up in Woodruff County in the Revel Community. She attended the Augusta Public Schools and graduated in 1978 from Augusta High School. She attended ASU Beebe, receiving an Associates Degree in 1980. After graduation, Sheila worked for Pulaski County Sheriff's office. Later, she worked for First Division Circuit Court of Pulaski County and her last job was with Little Rock District Court 2nd Division (traffic court) as the Chief Probation Officer.
Sheila was a member of Crystal Hill Baptist Church, 2nd vice president of Arkansas Beekeepers Association, member of Lady Beekeepers of Arkansas, and organizer of Little Rock Girlfriends as well as a 4-H Leader in Pulaski for 14 years.
Sheila confronted cancer as she did all obstacles in her life, boldly, and honestly, with determination to see the good in every situation. Sheila had a passion for living life fully and enrolling others to share her passion and interests. Sheila loved to travel with friends and family. She has made new friends all over the world in her travels. She also loved learning from the honey bees. Her other interests include gardening, hiking, snows skiing, water skiing, scuba diving, reading good books with a cup of coffee and laughing with friends.
A favorite thing for Sheila was a weekend camp she organized for her great nieces and nephews annually to share her love of God and how to enjoy outdoor camping. She would teach the kids about teamwork, goal setting, and respecting others while helping to develop character traits of persistence, determination, honesty and compassion. Sheila has made a positive difference in the lives of all these children who were so special and loved by her. Sheila also impacted the lives of people of all ages with her positive, fun way she lived her life and shared her love for life.
