Ruth Quattlebaum

Ruth Burkett Quattlebaum, 84, of Searcy, passed away November 29, 2011. Ruth was a very dear & loving mother, granny, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Nellie Alcorn Burkett; husband Rufus Quattlebaum; sister, Ruby Neal and a great-granddaughter.

She is survived by her children, Debra Kay, Ricky, Craig and their spouses; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sisters, Sylvia Henderson and Sue Free; brother-in-law Gordon Quattlebaum; sister-in-law, Eileen Quattlebaum; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was a member of Westview Missionary Baptist Church. She loved bowling, cooking, puzzles, hummingbirds, feeding her wild fox and especially spending time with her family.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 1 with funeral services beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Weir Cemetery.
