Ruby Marie Carter, 76 of Rose Bud passed away Saturday, December 13, 2014. Ruby was born October 2, 1938 in Gravel Hill, Arkansas to the late Lewis and Zelda (Barnette) Stevens.
Ruby was a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church. She was a country girl and loved to travel to the mountains. She had a passion for working puzzles and reading. Ruby loved her family very much and was loved by all who knew her. She will always be with us in our hearts.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Kenneth Carter of Rose Bud, Arkansas; two daughters, Mary Waggle (Melvin) of Rose Bud, Arkansas and Amy Ausburn (Bobby) of Longview, Texas; one brother, Larry Stevens of Bradford, Arkansas; two sisters, Carroll Richardson of Booneville, Arkansas, and Nadine Kaylor of Gravel Hill, Arkansas; six grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents Ruby was preceded in death by one brother, James Stevens; and two sisters, Shirley Turner and Glenda Anderson.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 17th at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church with interment following at Sidon Cemetery.
