Robert "Bob" Hentzell

Robert “Bob” Hentzell, 87, of Searcy, passed away peacefully, April 24, 2025 at home. He was born May 9, 1937 in Lagrange, Indiana to the late Glen Devon Hentzell and Bessie Louise (Ohlwine) Hentzell.

Robert proudly enlisted in the Army National Guard in May 1955 and was honorably discharged in May of 1958 as a PFC. He was a lover of the outdoors and in turn instilled his passion for fishing, hunting, and motorsports in his children and grandchildren. He was a hardworking provider for his family. After retiring from General Motors in Kokomo, Indiana, he moved to be near Lake Michigan, so he could salmon fish and “kick the leaves around.”

He moved to Arkansas in 2014 to be closer to his family and enjoy all of the nature that Arkansas had to offer.

Bob was dearly loved and he loved his family. His presence in their lives and his friends lives will be truly missed.

Survivors include his daughters, Crystal Hentzell of Searcy, Tina Corona of Texas, and Donna Billings of Michigan; a brother, Richard Hentzell of Florida; sister, Shirley Smith of Indiana; grandchildren, Melanie White of Michigan, Alejandro Corona Hentzell of Michigan, Marissa Corona of Texas, Maegan Moudy of Bald Knob, Laura Moudy of Searcy, Angelina Corona of Texas, Eddie Moudy of Judsonia, Jasmyn Corona of Texas, Brooke Moudy of Judsonia and Vinny Moudy of Judsonia; as well as 12 great-grandchildren and many close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sons, Robert Lee Hentzell, Jr., Daryl Scott Hentzell and Duane Allen Hentzell; brothers, Devon, Alvin and Michael Hentzell and sisters, Juanita, Joyce, Patricia and Betty.

Cremation arrangements entrusted to Searcy McEuen Funeral Home.
