Richard L. Thomas

Leroy Thomas , Sr. 90, of Searcy passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2010. He was born January 3, 1920 to the late Richard Cleveland and Sarah Mamie Stewart Thomas. He was a restaurant owner for many years in California. He served in WWII; loved bowling, hunting and basketball.

He is preceded in death by his wife Aileen Doris Thomas. One sister, Cloteene Fields.

He is survived by two sons; Richard Thomas, Jr. of Searcy, Larry Thomas of Eureka Springs, Arkansas and one daughter; Rebecca Hollingshead also of Searcy. Five grandchildren; Allen Thomas, Traci Niece , Suzette Thomas, Jason Thomas and Ariel Hollingshead., seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Visitation will be Wednesday May 5, from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Searcy-McEuen Funeral home.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, May 6, 2010 at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Letona.
