Randall Cary Gay

July 13, 1939 — September 28, 2022

Randall Cary Gay spent his first day in Heaven on September 28, 2022. He was born July 13, 1939 in Center Hill, Arkansas to T. M. and Alene Gay. Randall was raised in Searcy and was a 1959 graduate of Searcy High School where he earned All-State Honors on the basketball team. He was a one-of-kind entrepreneur and a jack of all trades who was commonly known as “Horses and Hay, Randall Gay.”  Randall was a people-person; he loved people, and people loved him. Randall loved serving the Lord and faithfully attended church all his life.

Randall is survived by his “Sweets” Rose Gay; step children: Dan Elliott (Melissa) of Cabot and Kathryn Hester (Wendell) of Edmond, OK; their unofficially adopted daughter: Melissa Lawson of Searcy;  grandchildren: Hayden Elliott (Jocelyn), Avery Collins (Brant), Sydney Hester, and Braeden Hester; brother: James Gay (Joyce) of Van Buren; niece: Linda Mayfield (Ronny) of Van Buren; and many dear cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: H. C. Gay; and first wife: Sandy Gower Gay.

There will be a private internment ceremony for the family. The Celebration of Life service for Randall will be held Sunday, October 2, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Saint Paul UM Church (2509 W Beebe Capps Expy, Searcy, AR 72143).

As Randall would say when closing a sale, “there ain’t gonna be no more.” And there will never be another Randall Gay.

Arrangements entrusted to Searcy McEuen Funeral Home.
