Peggy Catherine Bennett, 74, of Searcy passed away Tuesday, February 18th at Unity Health Medical Center. She was born September 20, 1945 in Pittsburg Landing, Tennessee to the late Dick and Polly (Brewer) Webb.
Peggy was a member of Foster’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. She was married to Garvin Bennett for 37 years. She and Garvin owned and operated Bennett Stained Glass for 30 years. She was one of the first two woman to become a member of the Elk’s Lodge in the state of Arkansas. Peggy was also a substitute teacher in Pangburn for 8 years. She was an avid reader and dearly loved her family.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, one son, Danny Bennett (Jayme); and one daughter, Sandy Roe (James) all of Searcy; six grandchildren, Amanda and Adam Bennett, Kathryn and Preston Roe, and Ckyler and Chase Tengler; four great grandchildren, Zeke, Zach, Elijah, and Zora; and one sister, Beverly “Dianne” Webb.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Garvin Bennett; two brothers, Harold and Don Webb; and one sister, Betty Sue McFarland.
Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 AM Friday, February 21st in the Searcy McEuen Chapel.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home with burial following at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
