Mildred Gay

Mildred Gay, 92 passed away Monday, April 22, 2013 at White County Medical Center. She was born July 12, 1920 in Tyler, Arkansas to the late Oby Waters and Pearl Taylor Waters.

Mildred was a member of First General Baptist Church in Searcy. She was also a past member of Floral Baptist Church. A devout Christian and a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother; She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Duel Gay; four brothers, Ernest, Oby, Ruell and Melvin Waters.

She is survived by one son, Duel Terry Gay and wife Betty of Henderson, Nevada; two daughters, Billie Bennett and husband Robert of Pleasant Plains, Arkansas; Pam Siler and husband Darell of Searcy, Arkansas; one brother, JC Waters; two sisters, Sethell Regan and Mary Beard; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday April 24, 2013 from 6-8 PM at the Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M. Thursday at Searcy-McEuen Chapel with burial following at Cedar Grove Cemetery.

sorry for your loss, I wished I had known her, my daddy is Ruell, I talked to her on the phone when daddy died, asking if daddy knew the Lord, lots of family I didn't know I had until after his death :(

Ms Mildred was a sweet loving lady, who will be missed by all who knew her. She had a great love for the Lord!! She made my days brighter to have known her.

I have very fond memories of Aunt Mildred making me and Pam toast with soft cooked egg and grape jelly on top. Of her listening to the Osmonds with us, to our chatter about school and boys and above all basketball. She was a special lady. Love you Pam and Billie and Terry.
