Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 68 years, Montine Fisher; three grandchildren, Lori Fisher, Christopher Fisher, and Kevin Fisher all of Illinois; five siblings, Norman O. “Buddy” Fisher of Newport, Wilma D. Hendrick of Athens, Texas, Imogean Falwell (Farrell) of Sherwood, Barbara Coombs (Charlie) of Cabot, and Chester Fisher of Jacksonville.

My mother and Montine were cousins, I have been to a few of the Joslin reunions and always made felt as a part of the family from the very beginning. I have also visited Maurice and Montine on several occasions at their home and always greeted with nothing but love and kindness. My prayers are with all the family, please give Montine my condolences.

My brother Maurice was always a very dependable brother. If he told you something you could rest assured it was true . He was always careful to do the right thing by everyone as best he could. He did not toot his own horn. He was a quiet and modest person.
I will miss him very much. He was a strong Christian and active in the church until his wife grew ill and then later he became ill.
Im comforted to believe in a God who has prepared a place for his people. I trust that Maurice will share that place with his God.
I thank God for giving Maurice and Montine a good life while they were here.
Maurice n Montine complimented each other in their marriage.
They left us a good example.
Maurice was a good first son.
May God rest his soul and bless Montine as she waits to join him in eternity.
