Guestbook

Mom spent the last weeks of her life with many thoughts and conversations about her loved ones who had gone on to their heavenly home in years past. She will be missed, always loved and never forgotten. This poem is a tribute from me to my mother, in her honor.

Heaven's Visit

Oh to spend on single day
In Heaven bright and fair
To sit around and visit
With the loved ones I have there
Just to hear of all the glory
That they witness every day
I would surely want to cling
To every word they had to say

Would they tell me that in Heaven
There's no need for wealth or fame?
Would I hear the angel chorus
At the mention of His name?
Everybody there is equal
As they walk the streets of gold
And nothing of their earthly life
Need ever to be told

I would see no tears of sorrow
There will be no hurt or pain
All those things are left behind them
As they dwell in God's domain
And when my day is over
And my visit there is through
May I witness to God's glory
That His promises are true
