Mary Alice Flynn

Mary Alice Flynn, 87, of Judsonia went to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, October 26th at Unity Health in Searcy. She was born October 13, 1929 in Norman, Arkansas to the late Samuel and Pearl (Graves) Sublette.

Mary graduated in Norman, Arkansas, and then went on to Beauty College in Hot Springs. She traded her career to become a full time mother and homemaker. She celebrated God and was a member of the Judsonia United Methodist Church where she was the organist for many years. She has been a member of St. James Catholic Church for the last eight years. Mary was a perfect example of a godly woman. She loved the Lord and her faith was an inspiration to all who knew her. Mary had a passion for feeding both body and soul. Her southern cooking was loved by all. She left a legacy of love and family. There was never a visit to her house without a game of dominos; where you always played by grandma's rules. She had a way of loving people that made them feel as if they were home. To be loved by her was a gift. She will be greatly missed beyond words, and never forgotten.

Left to cherish Mary's memory are two sons, James Patrick Flynn and wife, Gail H. Flynn of Salt Lake City, Utah, Samuel Joseph Flynn and wife, Darlene E. Flynn of Searcy, Arkansas; one daughter, Helen Mariea Stephenson and husband, Charles H. Stephenson of Judsonia, Arkansas; one sister, Elsa Bea Thompson of Houston, Texas; ten grandchildren, Laura Dawn Brown and husband, Jay, Mary Jewell Capps and husband, Scotty, Charles Adam Stephenson and fiancAC., Rebecca, Janis L. Sweet Mary Alice. You were ALWAYS one of our favorite people to see at the yearly Shockey Family Cemetery Decoration Day. The kindness and love you shared with ALL will never be forgotten especially the love you shared with Ashley and Casey whom both thought a lot of you too. You are now in heaven with a lot of family who we're sure welcomed you with open arms and something tells us too, that any "rumblings" heard from above in the days to come will be the joy and laughter being shared with your heavenly homecoming. We will all watch over your family here till you are once able to do so there, and please, hug our baby for us till we are ALL able to hug one another again. We love you, your family, and thank you too, for being the wonderful and loving person you were. And finally...as for us...we will remember you with joy and laughter for that is what you would want us to do. For to remember you only in tears and sorrow, would not be how we'd like to honor your memory true.❤Love, Bo, Paula and Ashley.

Sending love and prayers. May God give comfort to each of you not just today but for the days ahead.
May the angels surround you all and give you strength. May the love and memories of this special woman in your life bring you smiles on your dark days. She has been in my life for 45 years. How could you not love this special gift.
