Martha Snelson-Boldrey

June 24, 1929 — January 28, 2022


**Attention** Due to inclement weather. Mrs. Martha's visitation and funeral service has been moved. Visitation is now Saturday 12:00-2:00 pm at Searcy McEuen Chapel. Funeral service will start Saturday at 2:00 pm in the Searcy McEuen Chapel.

Martha Marilee (Davidson) Snelson-Boldrey age 92 years, 7 months and 4 days of Kensett, AR, formally of Griffithville, AR, departed this earthly life and entered her heavenly home on Friday, January 28, 2022.

Martha was born June 24,1929 in Niles, MI to Lindsey Winfield and Helen Margaret (Lewis) Davison.

She was a lovely Christian woman that accepted Christ at a very young age.  She began her Christian walk at Bethel United Pentecostal Church in Buchannan, MI.  Through the years, after moving to Arkansas, she attended Assembly of God in Griffithville, Agape Church of White County in Searcy, and House of Prayer in Kensett.  Her final earthly church before being called to her heavenly home was White Oak Missionary Baptist Church in Griffithville, AR.

She showed God’s love to everyone she met.  She loved reading her Bible, doing word searches, singing gospel music, going to church and gathering with her large family.  She also enjoyed journaling and watching Wheel of Fortune.

She was a homemaker, wonderful mother and loving grandmother who was adored by all.  Martha had a way of making every person she knew feel special.  She was affectionately called Grandma Marty, Sama Marty, Aunt Marty or Marty by all who knew and loved her.   

Left to cherish her memory are her children Regena Snelson (Roger) Mulherin, Royce Jay Snelson; daughters-in –law Darlene (Gary) Allen, Sandy (Robert) Black, and Marsha Martin; step children Danny (Cindy) Boldrey, Kevin (Sue) Boldrey, Carolyn Boldrey Reeves, Darlene (Hershel) Layne, Lori Boldrey Thompson; brother Lyle Lee (Linda) Davidson; sisters Coletta Quinn, Janet (John) Wood, and Mona Kay Strickland;  grandchildren Levi (Bonnie) Snelson, Phelessia (Rocky) Hughes, Sharon Twanette Drake, Elane (James) Bennett, Coletta Gianna Mulherin, Gena Kay (Charles) Glenn; granddaughter-in-law Audrey Snelson; thirty one great grandchildren, nineteen great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, church families and a host of friends that she loved like family.

She is proceeded in death by her husband of forty-five years, Page Witt Snelson, her second husband of nine months, Charles C. Boldrey; her parents; her grandparents Louis and Minnie (Humies) Davidson and Charles Newton and Martha Jane (Bond) Lewis; brother Norman Davidson; grandson Robert Wittney Mulherin and her Pastor, Tom Steinen who was like a son to her.

Visitation will be Friday, February 4, 2022 at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home from 6:00 till 8:00 pm.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Dogwood Church in Griffithville, AR with Brother Max Sharp and Brother Dale Snelson officiating.

Interment will be at the Dogwood Cemetery, Griffithville, AR.
