Manford C. "Bud" Price, went to be with our Lord and Savior on November 9, 2007. He was born on July 14, 1930 to Russell and Vada Taylor Price. Bud was a loving Husband, Father, Grandpa and Great-Grand Pa. In his spare time he loved to go fishing, hunting, and most of all he enjoyed working in his garden. Throughout his life, he not only made friends everywhere he went but was also active in the city of Garner. For many years he was a city alderman and was the overseer of the Garner Cemetery and Garner Gym. He also enjoyed participating in activities at the Garner Senior Citizen Center. Bud was retired from Union Pacific Railroad after 42 years as a welder. After two years of service he received an Honorable Discharge from the United States Army. He was a member of the Garner Methodist Church.
Bud is preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Hill Price, two daughters, Glenda Pearrow and Rhonda Price, two sisters, Mae Magdeline Price and twin Anna Adams and his parents.
He is survived by two children, George Price (Peggy) and Anita Sewell (Arnold), both of Garner, one sister, Nadine Korns of Maryville, California, and five grandchildren, Scott Price, Gina Price, Ashley McEuen, Anthony Sewell and Alan Sewell. He also leaves behind five great-grandchildren, Samuel, Ryan, and Jacob Price and Shelby and Blake McEuen. In addition to all of these, he leaves behind a very special and dear cousin, David Price as well as many other cousins and friends.
Visitation will be at Sunday November 11, 2007 from 2:00 -5:00 PM at Searcy-McEuen Chapel.
Graveside services will be held November 12, 2007 at 10:00 AM at the Garner Cemetery.
