Mae Light Dennis

Mae Light Dennis, 98 of Searcy died in a local hospital on Saturday, June 24, 2006 and was the daughter of the late William and Frances Light. She was a retired Nurse's Aid, homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Jim Dennis; two sons, Charles "Buddy" Dennis and Johnny Dennis; one grandson, Johnny Lee Dennis and one granddaughter, Rhonda McKee.

She is survived by three daughters, Dorothy Vincent and husband Herschel of Holtville, CA; Mary Pitts of Searcy; Betty Buchanan and husband Sherman of El Cajon, CA; one son, Jimmy Dennis and wife Linda of Mesa, AZ: one daughter-in-law, Fayrene Dennis of McRae; 14 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; nine great great granddaughters.

Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, June 29, 2006 at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ed Meharg officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy and Jesse Dennis, Tobin and Tyler Froelick, Robert Mack and Bill Boyd. Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Boyd, Katherine Boyd and Hunter Dennis. Music selection will be "Precious Memories", "Till We Meet Again", "How Great Thou Art" and "Wind Beneath My Wings". Interment will follow at Honey Hill Cemetery by Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
