Lynda Elaine Honey, age 68, of Searcy, passed away at her home on Tuesday, June 11, 2025, surrounded by love. Born on September 28, 1956, in Midland, Texas, Lynda was the daughter of the late Jack and Pauline (Bailey) Ausburn.
Lynda devoted many years of her life to serving others as Postmaster with the United States Postal Service. She was a woman of deep faith and a devoted member of Kennect City Church in Kensett, where she found joy, community, and spiritual strength.
A true nurturer at heart, Lynda had a green thumb and took great pleasure in tending her garden and flower beds, where her love for beauty and nature bloomed. But above all, her greatest joy came from her family—especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She cherished every moment spent with them, creating memories full of laughter, warmth, and unconditional love.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Doug Honey; children, Kris Honey and wife Jami and Jason Honey and wife Brynn; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Ethan, Jack, and Bear Honey; a brother-in-law, Charles Snelson and lifelong friend, Vicky Hall.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 13, 2025 at the Kensett Cemetery.
Arrangements entrusted to Searcy McEuen Funeral Home.
