Luella M. Meredith, 86, of Kensett went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, January 10th at Oakdale Nursing Home. She was born September 7, 1931 in Russell, Arkansas to the late Frank and Ellen (Stevens) Nichols.
She was very loving and kind. She served faithfully for many years as Pastor’s wife along-side her husband, Pastor Louis Meredith. Luella enjoyed fishing, growing flowers and working in the yard but her pride and joy was her family. They meant the world to her. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Luella was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 69 years, Louis Meredith; one son, Garry Meredith of Providence, Arkansas; one daughter, Barbra Richard of Tucson, Arizona; two grand children, Joshua Richard of Tucson, Arizona and Jessica Jackson of Minnesota; and four great grandchildren, Jade Hoffman, Luella Jackson, Madison Richard, and Camden Jackson.
In addition to her parents, Luella was preceded in death by two brothers, Cleveland Nichols of Battle Creek, Michigan, and Doyle Nichols of Kensett, Arkansas; and three sisters, Mildred Blair of Wichita, Kansas, Margie Chupp of Milfred, Indiana, and Leah Gertrude Atherns of Michigan.
Visitation will be Friday, January 12th from 5:00-7:00pm at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 13th at 10:00am in the Searcy McEuen Chapel with burial following at 16th Section Cemetery in Ward, Arkansas.
