Lucille Marie Vaughan
Lucille Marie Vaughan, 85, of Kensett, passed away Monday, August 11, 2014 at her residence. She was born July 21, 1929 to the late Mack and Beulah Phillips in Kentucky.
She was an active member of the Kensett First Baptist Church for 58 years. She faithfully served her church and her Lord. She was the picture Christian who loved her family and church with all her being.
She is survived by two sons, John Wesley Vaughan (Susan) of Searcy and Keith Vaughan of Jacksonville; one daughter, Phyllis Vaughan Bostic (Layton) of Searcy; one brother, Ben W. Phillips (Frances) of Searcy; six grandchildren, Reggie Bostic, Christie Johnson (David), Hollye Sledge (Shannon), Heath Vaughan (Tiffany), Ashley Targac (Scott) and Courtney Jaynes (Stuart); 12 great grandchildren, Lynsey Long (Eric), Hunter Bostic, Haley Bostic, Jonathan Sledge, Jacob Sledge, Corie Vaughan, Codie Vaughan, Richard Johnson, Brennan Johnson, Rhett Targac, Hayden Targac and Hannah Targac; two great great grandchildren, Peyton Long and Liam Long.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Vaughan; one son, Gary Lynn Vaughan; six brothers, JD, Kelly, Lee, Harry, Charles, and Ernest Sherman Phillips; one sister, Beulah Landers, and two great grandchildren, Austin Cole and Colton Heath Vaughan.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Kensett First Baptist Church. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at the church with interment following at Kensett Cemetery.
