Lorene "Polly" Smith

Lorene “Polly” Smith, was called to her Heavenly home by her Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, March 9th. She was born August 28, 1943 in Searcy, Arkansas to the late Sidney and Ruthey (Swafford) Rowe.

Mrs. Polly was a cashier at Harding University for 47 years and loved all the staff and students.

She is survived by her two sons, Bobby, and Ricky (Lisa); two grandsons, Lynn and Matthew; one step-grandson, Devon Gavin; twin sister, Florene “Teeny” Waggle (Mike); and four brothers, Raymond, Harold (Nancy), Willie, and Ralph (Phyllis). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Smith; one daughter-in-law, Kim Smith; her parents, two sisters, and three brothers.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 13th from 6:00-8:00pm at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 14th at 10:00am in the Searcy McEuen Chapel with burial following at Cheek Cemetery.
