Leon Duke Young Young

Leon "Duke" Young III, 33, of Searcy, passed unexpectedly from this life Friday, December 6, 2013. He was born January 24, 1980 in Searcy to the late Leon II and Shelia Williams Young.
Duke, as he was better known, taught a youth Sunday school class at St. Mary's CME Church where he was a member. He was a 1999 graduate from Searcy High School and attended college at Harding and ASU Beebe. Throughout his life, he was a devoted worker for various employers in Searcy, the most recent being Searcy Health Care and Anytime Events. Duke was well loved and well known by all that he came in contact with. He was full of life and loved his family and was very family oriented.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, KiJana Marie Young; brother, Markus Denard Young; maternal grandfather, Foster Baker Sr. and paternal grandfather, Leon Young Sr.
He was united in matrimony to Michelle Bland Young; and has five surviving children, Taurin Flowers, Tyson Young, Brandon Dupriest, Amariea Young, and Tylei Young; one brother, B.J. Williams; maternal grandmother, Clementine William; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Young; one special aunt Bettye A. Smith; several other aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of extended family and friends.
Family and friends may visit 6-8 p.m. Thursday December 12, at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Home going services are 11:00 a.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Richard Stokes officiating. Interment will follow at Crow Cemetery.
