Lawrence C. Smith

Lawrence C. Smith, 86, of Searcy, passed from this life on November 22, 2006. He was born March 15, 1920 in Searcy, the son of Glen and Mallie (Cowans) Smith. He was a member of Arnold Tabernacle CME Church in Kensett, the Masonic Lodge # 473 and the Civil Defense. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers. He is survived by his son, Michael Williams, Sr. of Searcy; his daughter, Bettye Ann Smith of Searcy; his step-daughter, Rosemary Young of Beebe; his sister, Jennie Mae Dockens of Searcy; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
