Kinneth Truman Carter, 84, of Mt. Vernon, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Unity Health Hospital in Searcy. He was born October 7, 1938 in Rose Bud, Arkansas to the late Hershel Andrew Carter and Julia Tennesse (Bomar) Carter.

Kinneth enjoyed spending time with his family, watching Westerns and fishing. His grandchildren were his pride and joy.

He is survived by his daughters, Mary Waggle and husband Melvin and Amy Ausburn and husband Bobby; his brother, Billy Gene Carter; 5 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and one on the way.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Marie (Stevens) Carter; his parents; 7 siblings and 1 grandchild.

Visitation will be Friday, April 14, 2023 from 11:00-12:00 at the Searcy McEuen Funeral Home with services to begin at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Sidon Cemetery.
