Kimberly Jo Smith

Kimberly Jo Smith, 42, of Searcy, passed from this life Sunday, June 9, 2013. She was born February 26, 1971 in Searcy to Joe and Katie Lindsey Latimer.

Kim was a member of Holly Springs Church of Christ; a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She always saw the good in everyone. The greatest love of her life was her son of 6 years, Matthew. All who knew her will have a tremendous void in their lives and her sweet presence can never be replaced.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Bill and Kathryn Lindsey and paternal grandparents, Ralph and Rena Latimer.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 13 years, Bobby Smith; son, Matthew Smith; mother-in-law, Polly Smith; sisters, Chandra Denison and husband Michael, and Catherine Benton and husband Andy; nieces and nephews, Caitlyn and Hunter Denison, Lexie Howard, Madison Simmons, Joe Andrew Benton, Austin Benton, Lynn Smith and wife Lorissa, and Devin Gavin. She is also survived by many-many other relatives and friends.

Visiting hours are 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Thursday, in the Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home Chapel with Barry Bentley officiating. Burial will follow at Cheek Cemetery near Vinity.

Kim, it's now been 3 months since we lost you here on earth. Our hearts are as broken now as when you left us. We miss you so much. May god let you know the sadness in our hearts, but we know you are truly safe in the arms of Jesus, now without no sadness or fears in this life. Mon, Dad, Catherine, Chandra

Kim was a very precious person. She was very loving and kind. She was in my daughter Beckys class at McRae and I remember her when she worked for Dr Ransom and Dr Koch she always so kind and helpful. We kept in touch on Facebook. I am asking God to comfort you as only he can. Ineca and Danny Langer

I was so sadden by the news of Kim's death. She was such a sweet person, always spoke well of everyone. She was a devoted mother, and sent me one of Matthew's pictures which sits on my TV with all my kid's pictures. She will be missed by all who knew her. Our prayers are with her family.

To all Kim's family: Each of the boys called to tell me about Kim. We were all so saddened by this news. She always seemed to be a smiling face and uplifting comment where it was needed. I pray for each of you as you deal with this. I don't understand it but I believe it: HE MAKES NO MISTAKES. God bless.
