Kelvin McEuen Turner

April 24, 1954 — June 29, 2020

Kelvin “Kelbo” Turner, 66, of Searcy, Arkansas left his earthly life on June 29, 2020. He was born on April 24, 1954 in Searcy, Arkansas to Joel and Ruby Turner. Kelbo accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age. He was a member of Christ Temple Holiness Church in Searcy, Arkansas.

Kelbo attended the White County Training School. He was employed by Wal-Mart Distribution and a steel company in Searcy, Arkansas. He also worked on Blakenly’s Farm until his health started to fail. He was much more than an employee on the farm. He developed a special relationship with the family and thought the world of them.

Kelbo was very talented. He loved to draw. He was also musically inclined and enjoyed playing the harmonica and bongos. One of his favorite pastimes was driving across the United States with his family and friends. He may not have had a penny in his pocket, but he was always ready for a road trip. Kelbo often placed the needs of others before his own. He would knowingly give his last and expect nothing in return. Not only did he give things to his friends and family, he gave advice, caused many arguments, and was known for his colorful language, but that was just his way of life. He was quite the pot-stirrer, but he had a special bond with his family and loved everyone with his whole heart.

Although he loved everyone, his heart belonged to Sandra Querry. He referred to her as his first, his last, his everything. Kelbo and Sandra had one daughter, Jessica, who meant the world to him. Kelbo also had two other biological children and two bonus children who he adored, Kyle Turner, Taylor Tuner, Fred Jackson and Shonniece Jackson.

Kelbo is survived and leaves to cherish his memory a mother who loved him unconditionally, Ruby Turner; three daughters, Jessica Turner (Kelly), Taylor Turner and Shonniece Jackson; two sons, Kyle Tuner and Fred Jackson; three grandchildren, Kavaris Bowman, Savannah Bowman, and Jalee Gentry; two great-grandchildren, Peyton Bowman and Kayden Bowman; five sisters, JoAnn Johnson, Nell Turner, Sue (Teddy, Sr.) Williams, Jill (Mike) Crow, and Hope (Al)Gaskin; five brothers, Carl Turner, Brent “Bo” (Mandy) Turner, Anthony Turner, Edward Turner, and Kenneth Turner; two close cousins who stood beside him until to end, Howard Brown “Cookie” and Twyla Baker, two bonus sisters, Stephanie (Danny) Hipp and Betty Baker; two bonus brothers, Mark (Nancy) Stegall and Kim (Melissa) Stegall; a special aunt, Athel Richard; four good friends Solomon King, Wilburn Robinson, Red and Ebony; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Kelbo was proceeded in death by his father, Joel Turner; maternal grandparents, Harold and Bernice Smith; paternal grandparents, Jessie and Patience Turner; four aunts, three uncles, a special aunt, Ellen Turner; and a dear friend, his heart, China.
