John Otha Hicks

John Otha Hicks, 87, of Searcy, passed away Tuesday, November 17th at his residence.

John was a United States Army war veteran having served his country during the Korean War. In 1993, he retired as a Manager of Eudora Lumber Company, with more than 50 years of employment. More recently, he enjoyed his job as a Wal Mart greeter.

John is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ruby Hicks of Searcy; two sons, Mitchell Hicks (Mary) of Atlanta, Georgia and Bobby Hicks of Searcy; one daughter, Ann Snow (Honsley) of Searcy; one sister, Carolyn Smith of South Haven, Mississippi; four grandchildren, Marlys Bassham (Cody) of Conway, Arkansas, Daniel Snow (Chante) of Austin, Arkansas, Michael Hicks (Chelsey) of Newnan, Georgia, and Steven Hicks of Newnan, Georgia; one great grandchild, Kayden Snow of Austin, Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey Hicks and Clara Mae (Waller) Hicks.

All funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
