J.D. Carter

J. D. Carter, 63 went to be with the Lord March 27, 2008. He was born March 27, 1945 to the late Floyd and Sarah Beals Carter. He was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Kurck. At the time of his death he was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Pangburn and a dispatcher for the Searcy Police Department from 1970 until his retirement in 1989. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening.

He was a survived by his wife of 33 years, Deborah Carter, a daughter, Melissa Lee and husband Scotty; brothers, Loyd Glen (Sharron) of South Roxana, Illinois, L.D. (Bonnie) of Wood River, Illinois, Larry (Romona) of Pangburn; a sister, Ruth Sterling (Cleo) of Garner, Arkansas, and two Granddaughters who he enjoyed spending time with, Grace and Madison Lee both of Searcy; a special niece, Sandy Vaughan, who helped care for him, and numerous other nieces and nephews who he loved.
