James Elmer Smith

James Elmer Smith, 63 of Garner, died February 18, 2007. He was born June 18, 1943 in Gainesville, Texas, the son of the late Elmer and Francis Estelle (Spurlock) Smith. He was a member of the McRae Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Lorene "Polly" Smith of Garner, AR; two sons, Ricky Lynn Smith and his wife, Lisa of Beebe, and Bobby Dale Smith and his wife, Kim of Searcy; two sisters, Joyce Wiley of Little Rock and Darlene Bailey and her husband, Randy of Beebe; one grandson, James Lynn Smith; one step-grandson, Devon Gavin, both of Beebe; and several in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, February 22, 2007 at Searcy-McEuen Chapel. Interment will follow at Cheek Cemetery in Vinity, Arkansas.
