Hazel P. Wyatt

Mrs. Hazel Ruth (Polk) Wyatt of Conway, Arkansas passed away Friday, March 1^st, 2024 at Conway Baptist Hospital.

Mrs. Wyatt was born on September 6^th, 1927 at home in Letona, Arkansas to Dee and Mattie Polk.

She enjoyed visiting and talking with family and friends, being “Nana” to her grandkids and her great-grandkids. She also enjoyed cooking country style meals, sourdough bread, and eating homemade peanut brittle. She had a special place in her heart for her cats and dogs.

Her work career was varied including babysitting her 2 younger brothers, being an operator for AT&T, helping with a Delta Trading Stamp business, making plaster cast items at her own shop, working as the bookkeeper at Piggly Wiggly, and finishing up at the Ft. Roots canteen in NLR.

She was preceded in death by her parents: R.D. Polk & Mattie (Freeman) Polk McDougle; her siblings: Baby Polk, Harold Polk, Gerald D. Polk, & Ray D. Polk; and her husbands: Robert W. Doom & Harold G. Wyatt.

She is survived by her son, Richard Keith Doom & son-in-law Michael Lynn Troop of Conway, AR.; former daughter-in-law: Raye (Shelton) Doom of Lewisville TX.; sister-in-law Marylou Polk of Fayetteville, AR.; her grandchildren: Elyssa (Doom) Washburn of Lewisville, TX. & Wesley James Doom of Prairie Grove, AR.; her great-grandchildren Emerson, Avery, Emma, & Finley. Several cousins and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. followed by a graveside service at 1:30 p.m. at Harmony Cemetery in Searcy, Arkansas.
