Harvey Stokes Smithey

Harvey Smithey, Sr. 85 of Ward, Arkansas left to be with our Lord on January 22, 2015. He was born July 6, 1929 in New Albany, Mississippi to Ellis F. and Mary Lou Smithey. He was the youngest of sixteen children. He was preceded in death by his son, Rickey Lee Smithey; his parents; fourteen of his brothers and sisters; and his in-laws that he dearly loved, Jessie and Dixie Paul.

Harvey was an avid hunter, loved a good rodeo or show about nature, and never missed "Wheel of Fortune" or "Hee Haw ". He also loved going to flea markets and spending time with his family.

Harvey is survived by his wife of sixty-five years Aretha Ann (Paul) Smithey; two daughters, Sharon Jones of Finchville, Kentucky and Darline Webb of Searcy; two sons, Harvey Smithey, Jr. of Garner and Tim Smithey of Fayetteville; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Annie Ruth Webber of Searcy; and one brother, Malcolm Smithey of Searcy

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
