Harold Dean Mears, 73, of West Point went to be with the Lord Friday, December 4th. He was born January 8, 1942 to the late Dee and Thelma (Lampton) Mears in Russell, Arkansas.
Harold was a member of West Point Baptist Church where he also served as a deacon. He was a farmer.
Left to cherish Harold's memory is his wife of 54 years, Sharon (Coleman) Mears of West Point; one son, Rick Mears (Rhonda) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; two daughters, Becky Parsons (James) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Shari Mears of Blue Springs, Missouri; one sister, Connie Evans (Charles) of Kensett, Arkansas; one brother, Jim Lampton; five grandchildren, Brynn Mears Honey, Matt Mears, Coleman Joyner, Chase Parsons, and Caden Parsons; three great grandchildren, Jackson Mears, Jack Honey and Bear Honey; and a host of other family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by one brother, Carroll Mears; and three sisters, Wanda Russell, Patsy Ivie, and Shirley Prestidge; and his faithful dog, Ben.
Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Monday, December 7th at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 7th at Searcy-McEuen Chapel with burial following at West Point Cemetery.
