Harold "H.D." D. Bennett

Harold “H.D.” Bennett Sr., 86, of Rose Bud passed away Thursday, January 30th at Searcy Health Care. He was born January 27, 1934 in Rose Bud, Arkansas to the late Dotson and Nellie (Bentz) Bennett.

Harold was a member of Mt. Bethel Freewill Baptist Church. He was a 32nd Mason and a past Shriner. Harold was a very hard-working man. He was a retired welder. He was a friend to all and will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish his memory is one son, Harold D. Bennett II “Hal” of Deatsville, Alabama; two daughters, Barbara L. Barnes of Rose Bud, Arkansas and Shelia K. Bennett of Plano, Texas; two grandchildren, Samantha Huffman (James) and Amanda Quick; four great grandchildren, Devin Reed, Trenton Reed, Mackenzie Quick and Serena Quick; and Joan Jernigan spouse of 20 years.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Lillian Starkey.

Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 AM Tuesday, February 4th at Mt. Bethel Freewill Baptist Church in Rose Bud.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM at Mt. Bethel Freewill Baptist Church with burial following at Mt. Bethel Cemetery.
