I worked at Big Star for 5 years during that time Gordon. And Patti became my dear friends and like family. I used to get Gordon every April Fools Day i just thought of pranks i played on him this past April 1 and he wasnt with us anymore but i sure have lots of memories. And he loved Tom Petty also the song by Sting Roxanne i hated that song and he would turn up the radio sometime when it was on at work just to irratate me. Lol rest in peace and keep Patti in line up there!!!

Larue was first chair trumpet in high school. Recall him playing at football games and concerts. Pretty clean cut compared to the rest of the shaggy haired Class of '76! Nice guy. Fly high, Larue!

Larue was a truly good friend in high school and as Ron said a fabulous trumpet player. We spent many hours together, lots of laughs and good times, and even went to Datona Beach together on spring break in college. We knew him as Larue in high school, but the rest of the world knew him as Gordon. Prayer go out for
the family

I remember LaRue as a fabulous trumpet player, and he had a great laugh. Many a mile spent in his Toyota (Corona?) and listening to the Eagles Take it to the Limit with him singing along hitting the high notes. Who else would take off to Embry Riddel Aeronautical having never been on a plane before? Great guy and good friend in high school. Prayers for his family I know they will miss him.
