Goldie Jones Reed

Goldie Jones Reed, 79, of Higginson, went to be with our Lord and Savior September 20, 2013.
She was the oldest of the thirteen children born to Ocie and Lena Brackenridge on February 1, 1934 in Flippin, Arkansas.

She was a member of the Higginson Assembly of God, where everyone that knew her loved her deeply. Her world was built around God and family; these were the two most important things in her life. She was affectionately known by her grandchildren as "Masy." She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed.

She is survived by daughter, Sherri Johnson and husband Deal Johnson, stepdaughter, Phyllis Usery and husband Jim Usery. Grandchildren, Chris Layne (Anna), Damon Johnson (Dana), Misty Carroll (Jacob) and Jennifer Hohenstein; and eleven great grandchildren; four sisters, Geraldine McGarrity (Charlie), Sylvia Hooten, Shirley Howard (Larry), Joyce Stevens (Jerrel); four brothers, Verlie Brackenridge, James Brackenridge (Shirley), Eddie Wayne Brackenridge (Carolyn), and Darrell Brackenridge (Sharon).
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husbands, Raymond Jones and Bill Reed; one granddaughter, Kelly Dawn Layne; two sons, Lonnie Wayne Jones and Kenny Raymond Jones; two sisters, Jaunita Rigsby and Doris Schmidt; two brothers, Tommy Brackenridge and Laveral Brackenridge.

Visitation will be held Monday, September 23rd from 6-8 p.m. at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, September 24th at 10:00 a.m. at Searcy-McEuen Chapel with burial following at White County Memorial Gardens.
