Georgia N. Cox, 76, of Searcy went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, June 13, 2012. She was born June 15, 1935 in Central City, Kentucky to the late Johnnie and Lillie Armour.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Higginson. She was homemaker, and a grandmother to all the neighborhood children including her own. Mrs. Cox enjoyed watching old movies and listening to traditional country music. One of her favorite country music artists was Elvis Presley.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Orvil Cox, three brothers, Buddy, Willard, and Robbie Armour.
She is survived by three children; daughter, Connie and husband Don Droddy of Searcy; two sons, Mike Cox of Searcy, Jeff and wife Barb Cox of Searcy; six grandchildren, Leslie and Troy Kellems of Judsonia, Christin and Cody Hayes of Searcy, Jessica and Garrett Cox of Griffithville, Chad Adkins of Kensett, Daniel and Shelley Robins of Searcy, Brian and Ashlynn Hulsey of Searcy; nine great grandchildren; one sister, Joan Cox of Judsonia; three brothers, J.T., Donnie and Raymond Armour all of Kentucky as well as many friends and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours are 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 15 at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel.
