Elsie Stone

Elsie Neada (Harnden) Stone, 84, of Judsonia, died Wednesday, July 11, 2023, at Unity Health Hospital in Searcy.

She was born August 26, 1938, in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas to the late Lemuel and Clara (Griffith) Harnden.

She loved working in her garden, was an accomplished seamstress, and when her hands weren’t busy, she was a voracious reader.    She was a natural caregiver at heart and a nurturer and was one to always feed people; her first words for you were "have you eaten?". Elsie attended the Highway Church of Christ

She is survived by her children, Allen (Meriam), Johnice (David) Hopson, and Jamie (Tom) Harris; two brothers, Donald Powell and JD Harnden; grandsons, Jeshua and Spencer Stone; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thomas Stone; daughter, Jackie Stone and a brother, James Harnden.

Interment will be private in White County Memorial Gardens.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Searcy McEuen Funeral Home.
