Douglas Eugene Weatherley

Douglas “Gene” Weatherley, 75, of Searcy passed away Monday, September 30th at Unity Health Medical Center. He was born in Trumann, Arkansas to the late James and Hazel (Bates) Weatherley.

Gene was a family first kind of man. He would do anything for them. He was man who had a big heart and a very hard worker. He loved his little dog, Tigger, he loved driving his dump truck, mowing his yard, fishing and tinkering outside. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend who will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 55 years, Alline Weatherley; one son, Doug Weatherley (Sharon) of Richmond, Virginia; two daughters, Tammie Weatherley of Searcy, and Barbara Moore (Joe) of Yukon, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; Blane Swain (Allyson), Natasha Richardson (Michael), Brittany Allen (Kurt), Kasey Sicking (Brittnie), Devin Weatherley, Skylar Weatherley, Trey Weatherley, Haven Moore, eight great-grandchildren; Gracie Guthrie, Thatcher Swain, Lillian Allen, Nixon Swain, Brantley Younger, Carson Sicking, Kache Allen, and Lynnox Sicking.

In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by one brother, Jim Weatherley and one sister, Sue Langley.
