Donna Joyce Moon

Donna Joyce (Turner) Moon, 79, of Rose Bud went to be with the Lord, Saturday, March 18^th at Southridge Village Nursing and Rehab. She was born December 26, 1943 in Rose Bud, Arkansas to the late Lyle and Willie Mae (Edwards) Turner.

Donna made a profession of faith at an early age during church camp and was a life-long member of the Mt. Bethel Freewill Baptist Church. She served as the church song leader for many years, while also serving in various capacities for the Women’s Auxiliary. Donna also served on the Board of Trustees for the 1^st Electric Co-Op “Operation Round-Up” along with serving on the Extension/Homemakers Association. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, singing, and visiting with friends. However, Donna was a homemaker who cherished time with her family and especially her grandchildren. Donna’s homemade chocolate gravy and biscuits were famous among her family and close friends. Her faith and family were the most important. She devoted her time and attention to raising her children. She will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 62 years, Ham Moon; three sons, Mitch Moon (Margaret) of Rose Bud, Melvin Moon (Clarissa) of Hartville, Missouri, and Russ Moon (Cindy) of Rose Bud; eight grandchildren, Caleb Moon (Ashley), Shanda Branstetter (Travis), Seth Moon (Candace), Maegan Nunley (Bryceson), Gillian Maples (Aaron), Molly Dalrymple (Joe), Turner Moon (Katherine) and Mallory Moon; and ten great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, March 24^th from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, March 25^th at 2:00 PM, at Mt. Bethel Freewill Baptist Church with burial following at Mt. Bethel Cemetery.
